Building Organizations That Run Like They Mean to on Purpose
Strategy from Someone Who's Done the Work
Ashleigh has spent more than 20 years working inside nonprofit, education, and community organizations, not just around them. Her career has included leadership roles with Goodwill Industries, United Way of Central Oklahoma, Rebuilding Together OKC, The C.A.R.E. Center, and Metro Tech Foundation, where she built programs, wrote curriculum, raised funds, led teams, and built operation policies and processes. At Metro Tech Foundation, she spent nearly a decade connecting community partners and building program alignment to support Metro Tech’s students before stepping into the CEO role at the Edmond Public Schools Foundation. Along the way, Ashleigh has built a reputation for bringing people, resources, and organizations together to solve problems, strengthen systems, and create meaningful impact.
That range, from frontline client services to executive leadership, gives Gibson a rare vantage point. She has been in seats on both sides of the table: the staff member implementing policy and the executive building it, the fundraiser chasing the goal and the board member evaluating whether the goal was right in the first place. She now brings that full-spectrum experience to organizations that need a trusted advisor that can see the entire organizational system and not just one single component.
Executive and Leadership Coaching
Leaders rarely get the same coaching and support their teams do. Ashleigh works one-on-one with executive directors and senior staff to build confidence, prevent burnout, and sharpen leadership skills.
-
Organization Structure
As organizations grow, the org chart that worked at five employees often breaks at fifteen. Gibson evaluates staffing structure, role clarity, and reporting lines, then helps leadership build a structure that matches where the organization is headed, not just where it has been.
-
Strategic Planning
Every organization needs a plan that is ambitious enough to matter and specific enough to execute. Gibson facilitates strategic planning processes that bring board and staff into alignment around shared priorities, with clear goals and accountability built in from the start.
-
Policy and Process Review
Many organizations are operating under processes that no longer reflect how the organization actually works. Gibson conducts a full audit of governing documents, processes, and policies, flagging gaps, outdated language, and compliance risks, then provides feedback the organization can use with confidence.
-
Board Governance and Structure
Boards run better when roles are clear and expectations are documented. Gibson works with organizations to evaluate board composition, clarify committee structures, and strengthen the working relationship between board and staff leadership.
-
Development and Funding Strategy
Drawing on direct experience building six and seven figure development programs, Gibson helps organizations diversify revenue, strengthen donor stewardship, and build sustainable development systems rather than one-off campaigns.
-
Crisis and Transition Support
Whether an organization is navigating a leadership transition, a funding gap, or a governance crisis, Gibson provides interim guidance and hands-on support to help leadership and staff stabilize and move forward with confidence.
